ADRIAN PACE & LAURE ALBIN GUILLOT AT JEU DE PAUME

 In > art culture design

Opening to the public today is the new spring season of shows from the Jeu de Paume; three exciting new exhibitions focus on both classic and contemporary photography. Albanian multi-media artist Adrian Paci presents his first French retrospective, Vies en Transit – a diverse series of mosaics, paintings, and video installations focus on human identity and the turbulent state of our socio-economic world. Paci presents a broad and bold take on the feelings of loss and displacement in modern life. Additionally, the work of renowned French photographer Laure Albin Guillot is featured in L’Enjeu Classique. Famous for her classic, soft contour photography – as well as revolutionizing the decorative arts with her microscopic photography – Albin Guillot was one of the most contemporary and active photographic artists of the interwar period. Last but not least, Une Exposition Parlee, a written and spoken word exhibition  explores the relationship between imagery and language.
Until 12 May. Tue, noon-9pm; Wed-Fri, noon-7pm; Sat, Sun, 10am-7pm.
