Perhaps Paris’ most experimental fashion collective, Andrea Crews has just taken up cool new digs in the Upper Marais, sandwiched between the art gallery quarter and the indie fashion nexus of Debelleyme/ Vieille du Temple. Which makes sense for this colourful indie label, whose activity straddles “fashion, art, and activism.” When we visited last week, local pop band Twin Twin was shooting a video for their forthcoming album Vive la Vie (Warner) in the shop. (Andrea Crews has been dressing the band since their beginnings.) The label is always creating new and exciting intersections across art, fashion, music, technology and street culture.
