Antidote 5 at the Galerie des Galeries

Antidote 5 is the fifth edition of the Galeries Lafayette’s contemporary art space’s always interesting annual overview of up-and-coming French artists. This year the selection attempts to define a new generation of artists, but also of critics and galleries, and features Dove Allouche, Pierre-Olivier Arnaud, Sophie Bueno-Boutellier, Etienne Chambaud, Isabelle Cornaro, Aurélien Froment, Mark Geffriaud, Laurent Montaron, Jimmy Robert & Clément Rodzielski. The works quiver with common reflections on time, memory and absence. We particularly enjoyed Laurent Montaron’s pieces Pace and The body of the river knows no boundaries.
And while you’re at the Galeries Lafayette, pop downstairs to their overhauled basement shoe department to check out Pierre Hardy‘s gorgeous new corner, flaunting a very op art black-and-white design.
Until 9 Jan.
