ANTOINE D'AGATA AT LE BAL

 In > art culture design

Ten years after a first groundbreaking exhibition, Magnum photographer Antoine d’Agata makes his long-awaited return to the gallery space with Anticorps, on the occasion of the release of an important new monograph of the same name (Editions Xavier Barral). A former student of Nan Goldin and Larry Clark in New York, D’Agata has always focused on the outer edges of society, and seeks to travel to the extreme limits of the human experience. “It’s not how a photographer looks at the world that is important. It’s their intimate relationship with it.” Initially comprised of tens of thousands of texts and photos,  Anticorps is the distilled spirit of d’Agata’s radical oeuvre, a hard-hitting but expertly curated event that is not to be missed. A companion show will open at the Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire in mid-March.
Until 14 Apr. Noon-8pm (10pm Thu). Weekends, 11am-8pm (7pm Sun). Closed Mon, Tue.
