Alexander Calder mobile installed in front of the Centre Pompidou

A monumental sculpture by Alexander Calder, the American sculptor famous for his mobiles, has been installed on the piazza of the Centre Pompidou, where it will stay for the next few years. Dating from 1974 and made in France, the piece ‘Horizontal’ is one of Calder’s last ‘stabiles-mobiles’.
