Bertrand Lavier at the Centre Pompidou

 In > art culture design

Since 1969, the French conceptual artist Bertrand Lavier has built up a body of work which invites visitors to let go of their certainties. Playing with categories, codes, genres and materials, Lavier’s art shows an inclination for addition, cross-fertilisation, hybridisation and transposition. This retrospective presents about fifty works arranged by theme to shed light on this enterprise of short-circuiting identities. An exhibition that calls upon the eye and the mind in equal measure.
Until 7 Jan. 11am-9pm (11pm Thu). Closed Tue.
Centre Pompidou, rue Beaubourg, 4th. M° Hôtel de Ville or Rambuteau. www.centrepompidou.fr/
