M/M PARIS AT AIR DE PARIS

 In > art culture design

The latest show ‘C’est Wouf’ from eclectic design duo M/M (Paris) introduces the duo’s brand new character, the eponymous, pixelated dog. He’s found refuge under The Carpetlogue (2012), two richly patterned carpets propped up on a colourful “exhibition device” (also for sale). Since the show is also the occasion to present a series of 3D design objects, generally small editions but also some one-off pieces (the table, the neons) that the designers have worked on recently, including a chandelier for Thoumieux, and carpets for the London gallerist Libby Sellers. While the talented  pair has been dabbling across mediums since 1992, they are probably perhaps best known for their collaborations with musicians including Bjork, Madonna and Kenya West, and with fashion designers Balenciaga, Givenchy and many more. Last year they celebrated two decades of creation with a retrospective monograph.
Until Sat 18 May. 11am–7pm. Closed Mon.
