The Paris Literary Prize

 In > art culture design

Paris’ cult English-language bookshop Shakespeare & Company has launched an international literary prize to celebrate the novella. Shakespeare & Company has a long-standing tradition of opening its doors to aspiring writers and in keeping with that philosophy, the 10,000€ Paris Literary Prize is open to writers who have not yet published a book. The novella, a small but perfectly formed genre, includes such classics as The Old Man and the Sea, Animal Farm and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. Submission deadline, 1 December, 2010, so get writing.
