Cannes Directors’ Fortnight at Forum des Images
As soon as the Cannes Film Festival closes, the always interesting and edgy Quinzaine des Réalisateurs program is relocated to the Forum des Images where the entire program is screened, for the most part prior to the film’s general release. See Stones in Exile, a documentary on the recording of the Stones album Exile on Main Street, which Mick presented in person. Also look out for prize winners amongst the 22 films in the selection:
Art Cinema Award : Pieds nus sur les limaces by Fabienne Berthaud (France)
SACD Prize: Olivier Masset- Depasse pour Illégal, written and directed by Olivier Masset-Depasse (Belgium – Luxembourg – France)
The Europa Cinemas Label : Le quattro volte by Michelangelo Frammartino (Italy)
Prix SFR : Ex Aequo Cautare by Ionut Piturescu (Roumania) and Mary Last Seen by Sean Durkin (USA)
And without forgetting the Grand Prix du Jury, Palm Dog award to Vuk, the dog appearing in Le quattro volte by Michelangelo Frammartino
