Céline croisière collection by Phoebe Philo

Some of the more exciting fashion news this past year has been Phoebe Philo coming back from a 4-year break (motherhood) from the runway to take the reins at Céline. Philo took over from Stella McCartney, her good friend, at Chloé, back in 2001, and kept on doing great, great things for the brand. Last October at Paris Fashion Week saw Philo’s first catwalk show for Céline with a sexy, wearable and modern, end eminently desirable, collection (Watch Suzy Menkes’ report here). But more good news is that to tide us over until that collection hits stores for next summer, the ‘croisière’ (resort) collection, presented in New York back in June, is about to hit a limited number of stores (check the website for details) from next Monday 16 Nov.
