CINÉMA EN PLEIN AIR 2013 STARTS TODAY

La Villette’s annual outdoor cinema fest opens today with French director Maïwenn’s 2011 film Polisse. This year, the festival celebrates the idea of community, the group, the gang, the family, via films including Where the Wild Things Are (Spike Jonze; Thu 25 July), Be Kind, Rewind (Michel Gondry, Sat 27 July), or Robert Altman’s last film A Prairie Home Companion (Wed 21 Aug)… Check the complete program here. Opening each of the 27 programmed screenings will be a short film commissioned from French artist Valérie Mréjen. All films are screened in their original version with French subtitles.
