CLOWN BAR

 In > eat & coffee, > party

The pretty, listed Clown Bar bistro, located just next to the Cirque d’Hiver in the 11th, now has a menu on par with its gorgeous 1920’s interior, and the famous tiled clown parade frieze. New owners Sven Chartier and Ewen Lemoigne from Saturne with former Vivant Table chef Sota Atsumi in the kitchen today propose a small plates menu of contemporary French cuisine – with a hint of Japan – featuring perfectly executed dishes including perhaps raw tuna, horseradish and tosazu (11€) or smoked pigeon, anchovy and radish ice blocks (20€). On top of lunch and dinner services, you can pull up at the zinc bar or outside on the lovely terrace in the morning for coffee, or later for an excellent cocktail or whisky from the studied selection.
