Colin Cook at Galerie Jeanroch Dard

We’re looking forward to Paris based LA artist Colin Cook’s drawing show, ‘Terribly Beautiful’, opening next week. This new series of works in collaboration with his non-artist friend Bill Shambaugh plays with the idea of beauty, both human and natural (as in nature), and the relationship between the two, confronting 2 radically different drawing styles – one naive and one practiced – for a vertiginiously absurd rendering of the world. ‘As humor blends with perversity, uncomfortable relationships are formed…’ says Monsieur Cook. (Opening Sat 10 Sep, 5-9pm.)
