Comme des Garçons Black

 In > shopping

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Comme des Garçons has set up a bunch of pop-up stores around the globe selling their recently unveiled , and equally ephemeral, BLACK range, composed of pared-down versions of Comme classics in, you guessed it, black. With the whole retail experience feeling ever more blandly recycled, Rei Kawakubo—who invented the idea of the guerrilla shop: ephemeral and unadvertised product lines sold in the obscure streets of cities not immediately associated with fashion—continues to swim upstream with a nearly invisible stand-alone shop in the rue du Perche, in the Northern Marais. If you haven’t heard about it, don’t feel bad: the space opened without a peep and will disappear just as quietly, in about a year. MH
Open Mon-Sat, 11.30am-7.30pm.
