'Dawn of Innocence' a musical by JC de Castelbajac & Nouvelle Vague

In > art culture design, > party

After touring the US with the OohLaLa festival last month, this musical directed by our very own Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and starring  Nouvelle Vague – the French concept band that conquered the world with bossa nova covers of punk and new wave classics – hits Paris for the opening night of the Les Nuits Capitales festival at the 104 next Mon 14.  ‘Dawn of Innocence’ follows on from ‘Ceremony’, the previous Castelbajac/ Nouvelle Vague collab created for the Exit Festival earlier this year.  In the words of JC: ‘I used Nouvelle Vague as a time machine to take me back to the pop colors and the darker tones of the ’80s, a decade that was both glamorous and somber at the same time”.
