Discodéine

The anticipated first album from hyped Parisian electro duo Discodéine will be released soon, on 14 Feb. Discodéine describes their sound as ‘the funky side of Messiaen, the funnier side of Can, the dark side of Gotainer’. Set up by DJs Pilooski and Pentile, who have separately released some acclaimed records (Pentile was involved in Octet and France Copland, Pilooski has remixed LCD Sound System, Mystery Jets and the infamous Frankie Valli) before finding a mutual ground around their love for sci-fi movies, weird club music and the cuisine from south western France. They are signed to Dirty. The release party is at Point Ephémère on Fri 11 Feb. Here’s the first single ‘Synchronize’, featuring vocals from Jarvis Cocker.
