BULY 1803

 In > shopping

Following on from the success of Cire Trudon, the talented French couple Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac has launched a new brand, an historic beauty label Buly 1803. Drawing inspiration from the life and work of Parisian perfumer Jean-Vincent Bully, whose colourful life also inspired his contemporary Honoré de Balzac for the novel César Birotteau, the brand is a deliciously 19th-century stage set presenting 15 lines including products such as the evocatively named Pommade Virginale or Pommade Sécrète hand cream. Buly’s first home is an atmospheric apothecary located at the top of the Rue Bonaparte on the Left Bank, around the corner from the Dries Van Noten flagships, and open to the public from today.
