THE BROKEN ARM

 In > eat & coffee, > shopping

Half of the team behind French “fashion & lifestyle” website www.dejeunesgensmodernes.com has just opened the evocatively named The Broken Arm on a huge corner site, inside an imposing century old building near Carreaux de Temple in the Northern Marais. This concept store features a slick café with a well-priced menu serving excellent coffee from Oslo coffee maestros Solberg & Hansen, plus a variety of freshly-made baked goods, including a rotating patisserie du jour (3-6€). Meanwhile, the multibrand stocks a collection of art books and magazines, as well as a with-it selection of primarily French fashion for men and women, including pieces from Kenzo, Carven, Christophe Lemaire, Jacquemus, Kenzo and Nike, with luxe accessories by Aurélie Bidermann and Isaac Reina. The clean and minimal fit-out, accented with raw wood paneling and shelving and plentiful plants and flowers, has a graphic Scandinavian vibe.
9am (2pm Mon)-6pm. Closed Sun.
12 rue Perrée, 3rd. Facebook / www.the-broken-arm.com/
