GIGS: Grizzly Bear
Perhaps the most keenly anticipated gig of la rentrée. Brooklyn’s Grizzly Bear have put out a cracker of an album in Veckatimest featuring the infectious summer single ‘Two Weeks’, whose chorus melodies send a chill up your spine. In the past they may have lived in the illustrious but long shadow of Midlake, however this album of beautiful melodies and psychadelic pop atmospherics sees them resolutely take the upper hand. CG
