HENRI CARTIER-BRESSON AT THE CENTRE POMPIDOU
The Centre Pompidou devotes a completely new retrospective to the work of’that monument of French photography, Henri-Cartier Bresson. Ten years after his death, now that the thousands of prints he left to posterity have been brought together by the foundation that bears his name, the exhibition proposes a genuine reinterpretation of his work. One of the great witnesses of our history, the man known as “the eye of the century” turned his gaze on Surrealism, the Spanish Civil War, the Second World War, decolonisation and the Cold War.
