HOLYBELLY

 In > eat & coffee

Just up from the pioneering Bob’s Juice Bar and the more recent Tuck Shop on the Rue Lucien Sampaix is this great new addition to the booming Canal St Martin hood. Holybelly was set up by two Frenchies, but both with crucial experience on the Melbourne café scene. So with a dedication to freshly prepared dishes using seasonal, carefully sourced and local produce, and to great coffee! The roomy café, which even has space for a pinball machine out back, already feels like it’s part of the landscape, with many happy locals enjoying the October menu; perhaps a tasty breakfast, a kale or lentil salad (12/ 14€), soup of the day (9€) or grilled mackerel (14.50€). There’s a selection of cakes of the day to go with your tea (they even time the infusion!) or coffee from new kids on the block, the Belleville roastery. What’s not to like?
8am (10am Sat, Sun)-6pm.
