A chic but affordable new boutique hotel has just opened, mere steps away from Parisian landmarks including the Jardin des Tuileries, Place Vendôme, or the Rue Saint-Honoré and its string of luxe fashion labels. Designed by the extravagant ex-couturier Christian Lacroix, each of the hotel’s 25 rooms are decorated in the richly patterned and whimsical style that Lacroix is famed for, and each is themed according to one of the 6 continents. Depending on which of the 6 floors of the hotel you are staying, you might find yourself travelling through Europe, Asia, Antarctica, Africa, Oceania, or the Americas. Lacroix has already lent his interior design skills to two other hotels in Paris, the Hotel du Petit Moulin and Hotel Bellechasse.
