'I Know How to Cook' by Ginette Mathiot

 In > eat & coffee

Ginette Mathiot is a French national treasure, famous for a cookbook originally published in 1932 ‘Je Sais Cuisiner’, a part of every French bride’s trousseau for generations. Phaidon’s bought the rights to this classic, which has sold over 3 million copies, and are about to release a very slick English-language edition, overseen by food writer Clotilde Dusoulier, of the blog Chocolate & Zucchini, and with a great cover and illustrations by French illustrator Blexobolex. 1000 pages cover every recipe you’ve ever heard of, but also include a selection of contemporary French menus by top international chefs including Thierry Breton from Chez Michel here in Paris, Guillaume Brahimi from Chez Guillaume in Sydney, Australia, or François Payard from Payard Pâtisserie and Bistro, New York….
