La Comédie Humaine

 In > shopping

A new brand, a curiously anachronistic homage to a pre-digital age, (but not as sexy as steampunks,) and inspired by Honoré de Balzac’s eponymous collection of interlinked stories depicting life in France in the early 19th century. After launching online earlier this year, La Comédie Humaine has just opened, near the Canal St Martin, this ‘gentleman’s boudoir’ where hangs a small collection of dress shirts (178€), collars (35€), bow ties, leather bags (690€) and gloves, and some fine wool and cashmere jackets, all Made in France in some of the country’s finest traditional workshops.
