La Flèche d'or to reopen

Ready to rumble ? After 6 months of reorganisation and renovations, the dynamic and historic club is about to reopen. The impressive indie line-up (Evan Dando from the Lemonheads, Chris Brokaw, Anoraak and The Two) of their re-launch party on Mon 23 Nov gives an idea of what to expect from new promoters, big guns Alias and Asterios Spectacles. Though there are fears that small, edgy and unsigned groups will no longer get a look in, the night’s 8 euro entry fee (with a drink) seems aimed to put to rest fears that the club, now partly owned by Serge Trigano, (also owner of new, chic, Starck designed hotel complex Mama Shelter across the street), is intending to alienate the club’s previous audience. We’re convinced though that a zebra crossing between the Mama Shelter’s upbeat restaurant and bar and the spruced up club will soon be necessary.
