This smart new falafel joint tucked in amongst the delis and Kurd restaurants and take-aways on the bustling Rue du Fbg-St-Denis has the particularity of also operating as a newsagent. Here you can feed your body and your spirit. While you’re munching on your ‘Felafel Extra’ sandwich or your lentil and taboulleh salad or another Middle-Eastern specialty you can also peruse the latest mags at the large communal table. For vegetarians, you can’t go past their special 11€ assiette, and for meat-eaters there’s chicken or beef Chawarmas (5.50€). Desserts include home-made baklava and a delicious traditional milk pudding flavoured with rose and orange blossom. Everything can be made to go.
