LE PARISIEN
The Chez Jeannette crew (Le Floréal, Le Mansart, Chez Justine etc) has recently opened this smart new café Le Parisien in the 3rd, just north of the Gaîté Lyrique, shaking up a traditional Parisian bistro with a sophisticated design and menu. Open all day (8am-2am), every day, it’s the neighbourhood’s new drop-in spot, whether for breakfast, coffee, lunch, aperitif, dinner or drinks. Sit up at the counter, grab the paper, and choose for example from an organic egg omelette (9.50€), a hefty tuna salad (14€), an oversized toasted sandwich (11€), beef tartare (16€), or a selection of dishes of the day. The drinks list is varied and of quality, and the coffee is good too. Things hot up at night of course.
