A critical darling, Academy Award nominated Lore makes its debut in French cinemas this week. This German language, UK funded and with an Australian director war thriller is centered around the lives of five siblings whose Nazi parents were killed at the end of WWII, following them in their journey to survive despite the consequences they face as a result of their parents’ actions. Directed by Cate Shortland (Somersault) and starring up-and-coming German actress Saskia Rosendahl – winner of the Best Actress award in Stockholm – Lore tells an uncommon tale of the Holocaust, weaving rich cinematography and character drama together to deliver a narrative that is both harrowing and riveting. (German language with French subtitles). Also premiering this week is A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth installment in the legendary Die Hard series. Anchored once again by superstar Bruce Willis, the film follows John McClane (Willis) and his son, Jack (Jai Courtney) as they find themselves working to stop a global, terrorist plot in the cold, unforgiving confines of Moscow, Russia.
