Ma Cocotte

 In > eat & coffee

Within the labyrinth of the Serpette-Paul Bert markets at the St-Ouen fleamarket is this new restaurant Ma Cocotte designed by Philippe Starck and set up by the duo behind Bon. The roomy two-story industrial space has exposed brick walls, and plenty of fun ‘Starckisms’ including unmatched lamps picked up at the surrounding market stands. At the big communal table, watch the chickens cook on the rotisserie in the bustling open kitchen. The menu allows for both a quick and simple bite (Portobello fish and chips, 15.50€, 1/4 free range chicken 18€) and more ostentatious celebrations (250g caviar to share, 720€ + 1 litre jug of Margarita, 39€). A huge 100 seat upstairs terrace should be exceptional fun in summer.
Open daily for breakfast and lunch; closed Sun, Mon dinner.
106 rue des Rosiers, 93400 St Ouen. 01 49 51 70 00.
