Michele De Lucchi

The Italian designer who, along with Ettore Sottsass and Barbara Radice, founded the influential 80s post-modern design movement the Memphis Group, is currently featured in two exhibitions in Paris. On the Left Bank, ‘Memphis blues’ at the Galerie Azzedine Alaïa, (18 rue de la Verrerie, 75004, 01 42 72 19 19), showcases emblematic pieces from the kitsch and colourful movement (until 4 Dec), while over the other side of town you can discover (and buy!) more recent work from the designer in ‘Poésie de la raison’ at Silvera Université, (47 rue de l’Université , 75007), until 30 Nov.
