Mois de la Photo 2010

The 2010 edition of the bi-annual ‘Month of Photography’ festival showcases the rich photography collections held in Paris, particularly the collection at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, and so reflects upon how art collections are created thanks to a combination of passion, discipline, and a thirst for meaning. Some exhibition highlights include pioneering NY photographer Saul Leiter at the Galerie Camera Obscura or the new show opening  at the Monnaie de Paris next week examining the role of exemplary art and photography publisher Steidl. And not forgetting André Kertész at the Jeu de Paume, or Depardon at the BNF. There’s also a whole parallel program of exhibitions, screenings and events for the fringe festival, Mois de la Photo OFF.
