'Mourir Auprès de Toi' by Spike Jonze, Simon Cahn & Olympia LeTan

Luxe bag lady Olympia LeTan got a lot of attention last season for her gorgeous hand-embroidered clutches inspired by vintage books (Natalie Portman chose ‘Lolita’ for the premiere for Black Swan, par exemple…). Spike Jonze noticed them too, and the pair, along with Simon Cahn, ended up collaborating on a short film project, which was shot a year ago at our very own Shakespeare & Co bookshop. The film is set after-hours at Shakespeare & Co. where two unlikely characters—from the covers of Dracula and Macbeth—come to life and fall in love,  in touching stop motion action. The film premiered in Paris on Sunday at the bookshop. PS Olympia also presented her sublime new collection of bags, ‘Housewives Choice’.
