Musée Galliera presents Mme Grès at the Musée Bourdelle

The Paris fashion museum, closed until 2012 for major renovations, inaugurates its (sure to be fab) program under star curator and critic Olivier Saillard with this show ‘hors les murs’ at Musée Bourdelle, and opening late March. The first ever retrospective of Madame Grès (1903-1993) will demonstrate the legendary couturier’s creative mastery. She designed robes as unique works of art, and repeated throughout her life that ““I want to be a sculptor. For me, working with fabric or stone is the same thing“.
Until 28 Aug.
