MUSICAL: Show Boat at Théâtre du Châtelet

The Théâtre du Châtelet presents Show Boat, the classic Broadway musical considered to be one of the most influential works of American musical theatre, and featuring the memorable song Ol’ Man River. When it was first presented in 1927, it was the first time in its history that Broadway had put on a show with characters over 40 years old and songs about tragic love and racial prejudice, themes magnified in this production by the Cape Town Opera.
