'Neutral Hero' by Richard Maxwell

 In > art culture design

A major figure on the New York theatre scene, with his company New York City Players, director and author Richard Maxwell describes his latest creation Neutral Hero as a ‘country opera’. Based on an extremely precise language, punctuated with country melodies and blues, Neutral Hero explores the presence of heroes in the American collective conscience by working its way into the life of the inhabitants of a small town in the Midwest.
