RA Paris

Antwerp concept store RA has just opened a roomy Paris satellite near OFR in the Northern Marais. Inspired by the city of light, RA Paris channels a new focus on a bygone era of bespoke creation, to bring to life a decadent, 1920’s inspired ‘salon’ ambiance. The moody, theatrical design and décor of the store has been a personal project of RA founders Anna Kushnerova and Romain Brau. The monumental front door is sculpted with symbolic carvings in heavy bronze, and layered curtains create shifting scenographies. Expect to browse RA’s on-the-money selection of established and emerging designers; they’re the first store in Paris to stock and present Meadham Kirchhoff, Charlie Le Mindu, James Long, Nasir Mazhar, Creatures Of The Wind (finalists of 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund), Iris Van Herpen, Jean Paul Lespagnard, Yuima Nakazato, Mikio Sakabe and Jenny Fox. Plus there’s a tight selection of vintage garments on the mezzanine from houses such as Chanel, Alaïa and Mugler, and books too.
