Rafsoda design pop-up store
Part of Designer’s Days is this pop-up store dedicated to Israeli design. The name ‘Rafsoda’ means ‘raft’ in Hebrew, and was inspired by the project’s first home in Tel-Aviv port in February 2010. On board you’ll find a range of products, from limited editions to mass-produced pieces, all made by Israeli designers. There’s the opportunity to meet many of the design talents every day at 5pm. Installed at the Comptoir Général on the Canal St Martin, the pop-up shop’s unique decor is provided by the artist Yaakov Sasson, known for his work restoring and transforming antique wooden doors and windows he finds discarded in the streets of Tel-Aviv. Tomorrow at 6pm is the closing party with a live concert by Yemen Blues (free entry).
Until Sun 19 June. 11am-9pm.
