SOPHIE CALLE AT GALERIE PERROTIN

 In > art culture design

For this new show Débrobés at Galerie Perrotin, Sophie Calle presents two series ‘What Do You See?’ and ‘Purloined’ as well as the piece Le Major Davel; works for which Calle embarked on a quest to resurrect the memory of art objects which have been misplaced, damaged, stolen or have otherwise disappeared from public view. She explores their personal meaning to those museum employees and others who knew the works intimately, in a series of profiles on each individual. The artworks shown in the exhibition are featured in the book Ghosts, published by Calle’s longtime collaborator Actes Sud.
Until 11 Jan. Open 11am-7pm. Closed Sun, Mon.
Galerie Perrotin, 10 Impasse Saint Claude, 3rd. www.perrotin.com
