THE FISH CLUB
The latest address from the Experimental Cocktail Club crew is next door to their chic Les Halles steakhouse Beef Club and associated basement club Beef Club Ballroom. An elegant Peruvian fusion affair, The Fish Club serves raw fish dishes including ceviché (11-15€), tiradito (14€) or octopus carpaccio (11€), but also oysters, and cooked dishes including charcoal grilled octopus or scampi (9€). Plates are small and made for sharing. The drinks list covers wine and Pisco cocktails plus a short, international, and obscure, list of quality beers (Black Isle, Volcelest, Agent Provocateur…) There’s a pleasant terrace outside, open from 6pm for the apéritif. The elegant two-story space was decorated by hot Paris talent Dorothée Meilichzon, who is the ECC’s historic designer, and inspired by Aztec motifs and South American freshness and fun.
