The Fooding Awards & Guide 2013

Last night Le Fooding held their annual national restaurant awards ceremony in the cobbled courtyard of the national fine arts school, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, with a flotilla of international food trucks providing the nosh (NYC’s Morris Truck, El Camion from Brussels, Copenhagen’s Camion Porchetta, Paris’ own Cantine California…). Jamel Debbouze handed out the prizes, and for Paris, Best Table went to chefs Simone Tondo and Michael Greenwold at ROSEVAL (www.roseval.fr/); the ‘love Fooding’ award to ABRI (92 rue du Faubourg-Poissonnière, 10th); Best ‘soup kitchen’ to CHEZ MAMANE (23 rue des 5 Diamants, 13th); Honorary Fooding to Kristin Frederick’s pioneering food truck LE CAMION QUI FUME (www.lecamionquifume.com/);  Best ‘counter’ to Pierre Sang in Oberkampf (pierresangboyer.com/); Best ‘snack’ to CHEZ ALINE (85 rue de la Roquette, 11th); and Best décor to Pan (12 rue Martel, 10th).
