Orson Welles’ complex (Columbia studio boss Harry Cohn offered a reward to anyone who could explain the plot to him) thriller stars a blond Rita Hayworth (his ex-wife) and finishes with the powerful ‘hall of mirrors’ scene, variously interpreted as a metaphor for his marriage with Hayworth, fame, Hollywood or identity… Today this masterpiece returns to the big screen in Paris on a new print and in VO, at the Champo, and the MacMahon.
