'Walk Away Renée' out today

Jonathan Caouette returns to the screen with a companion film to his 2003 home-made indie hit Tarnation . Presented at Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique last year as a work in progress, the version of Walk Away Renée you can discover in cinemas from today (MK2 Beaubourg & MK2 Hautefeuille in Paris) has been significantly re-edited. Through musical montage, psychedelic sequences and real and imagined circumstance, it follows mother and son on a road trip to move Renée across the country to a new “assisted living facility” and in the process raises questions about love, sacrifice, and the reality in which we live.
