ART: New Festival at the Centre Pompidou
The 2nd edition of the Centre Pompidou’s ‘New Festival’ brings together film, theatre, music, visual art and performance for 3 weeks of innovation and excitement. The idea is to offer artists the chance to take advantage of the uniquely multidisciplinary character of the Centre Pompidou to propose experimental projects grounded in the dissolution of the traditional boundaries between disciplines. The three headlining guests are Michel Gondry with his Amateur Film Factory, plus a restrospective of his films, ads and clips; German artist Christoph Keller overlaps art and science and ‘aether’; and Eric Duyckaerts will be staging a series of his absurd lecture-performances and improvisations in the Forum. And did we mention they’re all free? Also worth noting, an experimental electro performance by Ellen Allien, Alexandre Roccoli and Severine Rieme on Mon 7 March. Find the full program here.
Until 7 March.
