Charlotte Gainsbourg switched on the Christmas lights on the Champs Elysées yesterday, alongside mayor Bertrand Delanoë and under a twinkle of confetti. As for the past three years, the lights use LED technology, which reduces the energy consumption of the more than 1 million lights by 70%. The decorations stay up till 10 Jan.
