Docks en Seine – Cité de la Mode et du Design

After years – the Jakob + MacFarlane building was completed back in 2008 – of languishing semi-vacant on the banks of the Seine, the new fashion and design centre Docks en Seine is preparing to launch its complete programme for this spring. Joining the resident fashion school Institut Français de la Mode will be a club run by the Baron crew on the panoramic terrace, plus a restaurant; a massive exhibition space will launch in April with 2 shows curated by the still under renovation Musée Galliera “Cristobal Balenciaga, Fashion Collector” & “Comme des Garçons, White Drama” (13 April-7 Oct). On the ground floor will be another club, this time run by the Social Club, plus fashion and design oriented shops. It’s shaping up to be this summer’s hotspot.
