Gary Panter at Galerie Martel

 In > art culture design

US counterculture legend Gary Panter was involved in the early days of flagship underground comics magazine RAW Magazine, along with Robert Crumb and Art Spiegelman. The ‘punk comic’ artist is the author of 4 influential graphic novels: Jimbo in Purgatory,  Jimbo’s Inferno, Cola Madnes and  Jimbo: Adventures in Paradise. He’s created album covers for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Zappa and The Residents, as well as collaborating closely with Peewee Herman on production design for his films. This is a rare chance to see his influential lowbrow art in Paris.
