Gig highlights 15-21 Nov

As the dark and dreary nights swoop in, Paris is offering plenty to warm your cockles and stave off those autumn blues. There is a certain sense of déjà-vu this week, with several names popping up for the second week in a row: The Walkmen are giving anyone who missed their double-header with The Black Keys last week another chance, whilst Jenny Lewis will be joining Vampire Weekend, a week after teaming up with Jonathan Rice. Canadian indie-rock mainstays Broken Social Scene are also back in town and playing what seems like their 20th Parisian show of the year ? But that’s certainly no reason to miss out on one of the genre’s more consistent live acts. Also playing Wednesday: Timber Timbre will be supplying beauty by the dozen, and Caspian are offering up a post-rock alternative for anyone brave enough to endure their intense 9-minute-long singles. And there is plenty else to look forward to, in particular, Sky Larkin and Les Savy Fav’s double-headlining show on Sat, another for the ‘do not miss’ list.
