Irving Penn 'Small Trades' at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson

 In > art culture design

Legendary New York fashion photographer Irving Penn (who died last year) documented in 1950 and 1951, in studios in Paris, London and New York, small local tradespeople—from the coal man to the cheese seller, or the dancer—dressed in their work clothes and carrying the tools of their occupations. Exhibited in their entirety for the first time in Paris, this exhibition of over one hundred prints comes from the Getty Museum in LA, who acquired in 2008 the most comprehensive group of these images, carefully selected by Penn himself.
Until 25 July

It was a wonderful exhibition but sadly not at the address you gave, which is for the Cartier Foundation. The Cartier-Bresson Foundation where the Irving Penn photographs were displayed is at
    2 impasse Lebouis, Montparnasse
