The 13th edition of the female indie music festival Les Femmes s’en mêlent opened last week, and is currently taking place in cities across France, including Paris, until 3 April. Celebrating women in music, the festival is a non-stop tribute to female creativity. The name of the festival, based on a subtle pun, is about women’s position in music and getting more women involved. This year’s line-up includes cult international artists and talented newcomers: Chicks On Speed – Dag För Dag – Dance Yourself To Death -Dj Gina Turner – Fury Furyzz – Jack November – Jenny Wilson -Jessie Evans – John & Jehn – Kyrie Kristmanson – La Fiancée -Lisa Papineau – LoneLady – Margaret Doll Rod – MEN – Miss Platnum – Motorama – Olöf Arnalds – Peau – Rock & Junior -Sarah Blasko – Soap&Skin with ensemble – Sydney Wayser – Taxi Taxi! – Tender Forever – Trash Kit – The Tiny – Vuk.
