LITTLE RED DOOR
This popular new bar has a great Northern Marais location on Rue Charlot. Not as edgy or arty as neighbouring Candelaria, it’s aiming for a NYC “speakeasy” vibe, and there really is a little red door on the street, though you enter the bar via a hidden door off to the side. A fairly roomy bar awaits you, with exposed stone walls and a mezzanine level at the back. On the menu, a range of inventive cocktails (12-13€) including the Polish Coincidence (vodka, white vermouth, quince purée, lemon juice and champagne), a short list of beers including a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (7€), the other usual suspects, plus a short (finger) food menu with daily changing platters to share, and other snacks like a Chicken Caesar Burger (11€). Open nightly till 2am.
